The elusive 6-0 still evades us after a 5-1 victory over The Black Lion. All was going well until the final pairs, and when Tim matched Ken's earlier 180, a victorius end looked likely for T & G; but ...............well the rest is history. With the Coach & Horses managing a 6-0, it means we need a good win next week to stay in the hunt. I'll be on the way back from Italy, so you'll have to manage without me- at least there's no argument about who's playing singles ?
Took a phone call at 5:30pm from a sick Capt Latimer of Bear B, saying he couldn't raise a team-in fact he hasn't been able to raise anything for quite a while now- but thanks to Rich & Jess for stepping in & saving the situation; teaming up with Charlie & Steve, they managed to lose 1-5, which is a bit of a result for the perpetual under-achievers

You have let me down badly B team. I'm dying and I thought that would motivate you to win. If I'd been well- we would have lost 6-0
Dave
PS if anyone is going to Tesco can they get me a couple of bottles of cheap sherry ?
I heard only 1 player from the Waterwitch turned up, hence the 6-0, though the coach we gifted 4 points before it even started.
I was talking to two of the Witch team last night.
Their driver didn't turn up so four of the team were stuck in Didcot.
The one that did play lives in Wallingford.
This is where the new rule about having to play with a reduced team breaks down. Thw Witch beat the Coach earlier in the season and there would have been a good chance that the Witch could have got some points from the Coach.
This 'result' could have a big impact on who nicks second place at the end of the season. Is this fair?
ever heard of a taxi?
£15 between 4....£3.50 each
would be v.reasonable for a night out
no excuse in my eyes
£15 ! you'll be lucky
never mind all that we won 5-1!
thought I might mention the great 180's by Ken and the landlord 'well done!
The captain again played some tactical play and dropped himself from the singles and with the team 300 ahead in the last doubles game after Tim’s 180 score, it all looked as if the game was in the bag but oh the elusive double 1 proved to be 15 darts to many for a slightly inebriated Tim and Geoff. I think you already know the rest.
ahhhha seems news spreads fast.
getting tight at the top now...
£3.50 x 4 = £14.00.
What double do you throw for 7.5?
(lol)
